Native to Southeast Asia and Australasia, this rare and unusual plant has a swollen bulb-like caudex from which grows a delicate vine, up to 4 meters long with round nasturtium-like leaves and yellow flowers.
The foliage is seasonal, so you should expect to see the vine die back temporarily in Winter, only for it to grow back again in the Spring.
This plant does best in bright, indirect light, avoiding full sun.
Provide moderate watering throughout the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out in between. (The expanded caudex stores water, making Stephania Erecta reasonably drought tolerant.) It's best to withhold watering in the Winter, as Stephania Erecta does not like being cold and wet!
