This seldom seen Sansevieria hybrid has a low growing, star shaped habit and a textural quality to its variegated leaves, which have thick, wavy edges and slim red margins.
Regularly found amongst those houseplants listed 'Hard to Kill', Sansevieria really do deserve their tough as nails reputation. (They're also commonly named 'Snake Plant' and 'Mother-in-Law's Tongue.')
They tolerate a lot of neglect but perform best with regular watering over the growing season. (Though allow the soil to become quite dry before watering again). A bright spot out of direct sun is best.
Uniquely, these houseplants give out oxygen at night rather than carbon dioxide, so are popular bedroom plants. They're also non toxic, air purifying and easy care.
