This upright Philodendron has speading, deeply lobed leaves at the end of long, arching stems. These distinctive leaves can reach 18 inches long and 14 inches wide! Mature plants have attractive woody trunks notched with 'eyes' (which mark the site of older leaves that the plant sheds as it grows) along with arial roots. It's a surprisingly easy care plant despite its exotic looks, growing best in medium to bright indirect light. (Too little light will lead to yellowing leaves and direct sun will scorch them)
Always test the soil before watering a Philodendron, feeling an inch or two down into the soil and only watering if it feels dry at this depth. Philodendron do not do well in waterlogged soil, so if in doubt, wait a little longer before watering.
