This beautiful and rare variegated version of Maranta Leuconeura has ovate leaves patterned with medium and dark green leaf portions, chocolate blotches and cream flecks and stripes.
Native to Brazil, it can be charectorised as a "hardy Tropical", and surprisingly for its seeming fragility, it is an easy plant to care for.
Maranta prefer warmth and lightly but consistently moist soil. Exhibiting nyctinasty, they fold their leaves at night in response to changes in light and temperature. Medium indirect light is best and they are tolerant of light shade.
Tip: Water with room temperature water to avoid shocking the plants' roots.
