This plant grows epiphytically in the foothills of the Himalayas. It has a twining vine habit, so it makes a great hanging plant, with large, tear-shaped leaves patterned with darker veins.
Hoyas love a brightly lit spot but don't place them in full sun - somewhere with bright but indirect light is best. They also prefer their soil on the dry side and will not tolerate waterlogged conditions. For this reason, never water if the potting mix is still damp as you risk root rot.
Fishtail Hoyas also like a regular fertilising routine, though you can give the plant rest in the Winter months.
